English Premier League Takes Firm Stance Against Racial Profiling, Vows Severe Consequences for Offenders

The English Premier League has publicly addressed the ongoing issue of racial discrimination that occurred during the Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This revelation emerged following an incident of racial discrimination targeting Italian defender Destiny Udogie, who is also a player for Tottenham Hotspur, on social media.

This occurrence did not sit well with the club, prompting them to use their official social media account to convey a message to the public. In their statement, they firmly declared their zero-tolerance stance towards such actions and emphasized their commitment to taking action against any individuals they can identify.

The statement reads as follows:

“We are disgusted at the racist messages directed towards Destiny Udogie on social media following Saturday’s game against Liverpool. We will work with the Premier League and, where possible, take action against any individual we are able to identify. We stand with you, Destiny”

The English Premier League also made it clear that racism or any type of discrimination will not be tolerated, and they pledged to collaborate with the club to ensure that those responsible face significant repercussions.
