LASTMA Prevents Potential Fire Disaster as Two Petroleum Tanker Collided

In the early hours of September 26, two significant petroleum tankers became entangled along Ikotun in Lagos State.

This incident follows a recent fire outbreak that completely destroyed a plastic manufacturing company in Lagos, reducing it to ashes.

Additionally, on Monday, September 25, another fire incident occurred at the Nigerian Supreme Court building complex in Abuja, without any injuries, destroying computer gadgets, stationery and library.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, also known as LASTMA, has issued a public statement regarding the potential disaster unfolding in the city of Ikotun, Lagos State where two major petroleum tankers could potentially cause irreparable harm.

In an official statement posted on LASTMA’s  X handle, it stated, “LASTMA AVERTS ANOTHER MAJOR FIRE DISASTER AS ANOTHER PETROLEUM TANKER GOT HOOKED AT IKOTUN, LAGOS.

“Operations of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) early this morning averted what could have been another major fire disaster around”.
