Tinubu's Appeal Against U.S. Court's Order for Chicago University to Release His Educational Records

The Northern District of Illinois’ United States District Court has recently issued an order mandating that Chicago State University make available all academic records belonging to Bola Ahmed Tinubu for review by Nigerian presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, who represents the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This decision was rendered by the esteemed Judge Gilbert, directing the university to disclose all pertinent and non-privileged documents related to Mr. Tinubu’s academic history.

As reported by the Peoples Gazette, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has initiated an appeal against this ruling. He seeks a reconsideration of Magistrate Jeffrey’s decision and a postponement of the release until September 25, as requested.

Tinubu’s lawyer Christopher Carmichael, said “Due to the timing for compliance by Chicago State University – later today – Intervenor is filing this motion separately from its challenge to the Magistrate’s ruling on the application,” Mr Tinubu’s lawyers, led by Christopher Carmichael, said. “Intervenor intends to file, by the end of the day, a substantive brief addressing the errors in the Magistrate’s decision.”
